Update
A quick update...
The World Cup is over, Spain won, thanks to an incompetent (British, what else??) ref who brandished one red card and 7 yellow cards against finalist Holland, and another five Yellows against Spain. Wahtever, huh! Because of the screwy ref my bet on Holland didn't pan out; but finishing as runners-up made the bet still viable and credible. No cigar this time around, Brazil 2014 here I come!
Today was my final day of a banking career that started more than 20 years ago. No tears, a fantastic farewell gift, a nice severance package and a bonus in December make the departure sweet and without regrets. Off to a lengthy vacation from 18 July - 28 August that will lead me to two distant corners of the world. I will gradually get into the changing mode to enter the political arena on September 1st, which means I will trade-in one publically shunned profession for yet another one... LOL
But then, controversy and vitriolic exchanges are trademark of mine, and I will gain great fun and satisfaction in keeping on with the plot of antagonising.
