Shooting of a popular Congresswoman

It was only a matter of time when the appallingly despicable public polemic, like the one spewed by a hate-mongering Sarah Palin, who has sunk as low as putting up a map with targeted Democrats in Congress with gun sights, would trigger some nutter to actually take shots at one of Palin's potential victims.

Today it happened: re-elected Congresswoman Gabrielle Gifords was shot, together with 16 others, among them a judge and a staff member of the Representative who was one of six people killed. Also among the dead is a 9-year old child. Sarah Palin can be blamed for instigating the climate under which this shooting happened. What a tea party she will have tonight!
